HARMONI for inclusion and resilience in Indonesia

HARMONI

Introduction

In Indonesia, rising extremism is challenging the nation's long-held values of political and religious tolerance. The urgent need to counteract these threats sparked a powerful alliance between Love Frankie and USAID’s MSI Harmoni program. Our mission is to fortify communities against the tide of intolerance and violent extremism.

Response

Crafting Counter-Narratives Through Collaboration

Love Frankie leads the charge with "Strat Comms Labs," bringing together civil society, government, and media to co-create impactful counter-narratives. We dive deep into data, using social media listening and narrative tracking to decode extremist messaging. This insight fuels our innovative strategies, equipping communities with the tools to resist and reject extremism.

Impact

Empowering Educators and Communities

In just three years, our training programs have reached over 5,700 individuals, including educators from 130 schools and 12 universities across four regions. These trainings empower participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent acts of intolerance and violent extremism. Our work doesn't stop at education; we foster resilience among migrant workers and support the reintegration of former extremists.

Measuring Impact: From Training to Transformation

Our initiatives have produced tangible results. We’ve engaged thousands and generated critical research, including reports on migrant vulnerability and student resilience. This evidence-based approach ensures our strategies are both effective and sustainable.
